How it works

Three steps to your first encounter.

1 · Apply & credential

Licenses verified, DEA where applicable, credentialing handled with you once — not per brand you serve.

2 · Choose states & categories

Work the categories you want in the states you hold. Add licenses over time; your queue grows with them.

3 · Review, sign, get paid

Encounters arrive complete. Review, decide, sign — compensation per encounter is visible before you accept it.

Why clinicians choose Lithos

The medicine, minus the busywork.

Hours you control

Async review is the core of the work — no shift minimums, no empty waiting rooms. Open the queue when it suits you.

Work that arrives ready

Validated intake, patient history, labs where indicated, and the specific request — assembled before it reaches you.

Prescribing without friction

EPCS-ready e-prescribing, pharmacy routing, and refill management built in. Sign the decision; fulfillment follows.

Transparent pay

The rate for each encounter type is visible before you accept work — and it does not change after the fact.

Charting that protects you

Structured documentation and audit trails by default, so every encounter you sign stands up to board review.

Grow with your licenses

Multi-state clinicians see more volume. We support licensure expansion for committed partners.

Questions clinicians ask

Who can apply?

Physicians (MD/DO) and nurse practitioners with at least one active, unrestricted US license. Multi-state licensure, compact participation, and DEA registration open up more categories and volume.

What does the work actually look like?

Mostly asynchronous encounter review — intake and history evaluation, treatment decisions, prescriptions, follow-ups — with synchronous visits where state rules or your clinical judgment require them.

How is compensation structured?

Per encounter, with the rate shown up front for each encounter type. Specifics are shared during onboarding; what we commit to publicly is that you see the rate before you accept the work.

Am I an employee or a contractor?

Clinicians join the professional entities Lithos supports as independent practitioners. Structure and credentialing details are covered in onboarding.

Want to run your own practice under your own brand instead? That is a different path — read taking your practice direct.
